What is the Purpose of the Expo?
To provide a space for spiritual workers, natural therapists, stallholders and more to come together to promote conscious awareness, celebrate life on earth and honour our connection to spirit.
Also, to provide a sacred space for all who are interested in a more holistic, self-sufficient and healthy lifestyle to receive guidance, healing, have fun and make like minded connections.
What skills do I need to volunteer?
The Expo requires a range of skills to successfully run – from simply having a smiling face to welcome people at the door to helping with the set up, catering, putting up signs and much more. There is sure to be a role that will fit any skill set you may have.
Can I volunteer if I am under 18 years of age?
As much as we would love you too, we are only taking volunteers who are 18 years of age and over.
How much time do I need to give?
We would really appreciate it if you could donate half a day or one full day (either Saturday or Sunday) or dedicate the required time to helping out prior to the Expo (ie promoting the event, etc).
What do I get for volunteering?
Other than being in a space filled with those who are coming together to celebrate life and spirit, you will receive one gift from an exhibitor plus a free reading from one of our psychic readers.
How do I know if I have been accepted?
Once you have registered, either Barry or Linda will email you confirmation.
What do I wear?
Please wear neat, casual and respectable clothing and flat enclosed shoes.
When do registrations close?
Registrations for volunteers close on 1st August 2018.
Can I choose what I want to do?
You are welcome to let us know what you would like to do and we will do our best to fit your skills to an available role however not everyone can do the same job.
The roles we have so far are:
- Set up – chairs, tables, etc
- Set up – signage
- Greeting people at the door
- Guiding people to readers and healers
- Cleaning and spot checks – toilets
- Cleaning and spot checks – venue
- Parking attendant
- Runner for exhibitors (tea, coffee, etc)
What happens after I sign up?
After you have been sent your confirmation email, we will start emailing updates to all registered volunteers assigning tasks and timelines.
When will I be allocated a role?
We will start allocating roles from about July onwards.
What happens if I sign up and then can't make it?
We know things come up and we won’t deny that we would be disappointed. The most important thing is that you contact Linda or Barry (or other team members as advised) immediately so that we can try to replace you. The sooner you let us know, the sooner we can get onto a replacement. We would rather know that you can’t make it than experience the extreme disappointment of volunteers not showing up at all and not letting us know.
